Our Online
Book Club choices are greater with 11 different clubs to
choose from. Choose one, or choose them all!
Join
our Online Book Clubs and start reading books in your email. Each
day we’ll send you a 5-minute portion of a book. By the end of the
week, you’ll have read 2-3 chapters. If you’d like to finish a
book, stop by the library and pick up a copy. Every week we feature
new books. Sign up today and start reading tomorrow!
The
new book clubs also feature an online
book forum where you can log on
and express your interest, discuss your opinions, and talk about the
books you are reading!
The South Holland Public Library has available
live online homework help with real tutors for students in grades 4
through 12, and Intro College. Students can reach this program by clicking on any
Live Homework Help icon (just like the one to the left) seen
throughout our website.
Students must have a valid South Holland Public
Library card to gain access to this program.
They will connect with live tutors who are
certified teachers, university professors, graduate students and
experts in their fields. These tutors will not do the homework
for the student, but will guide the student on learning how to find
the answer.
The 20-minute sessions are available everyday
between the hours of 2pm and 10pm.

Each of these products have online help screens, which in addition
to helping navigate the source also advise students in creating citations
for a bibliography. These resources will be very helpful for everyone,
both students and the simply curious,for maneuvering through the wide array ofinformation available.
